Nine Favourites 2018/RosieCutbillPhotography
It’s always hard to pick just the nine, but these are the images that jumped to mind immediately. It was a fun and exciting year and now I can’t wait for the challenges of 2019.
Three generations! This was a fabulous family shoot in Gloucestershire last summer – it took a while to plan as the families came from far and wide, but when the day came it was one big party! I was thrilled to be asked to photograph them all, especially as with two of the families living abroad, this was a bit of a ‘once in a lifetime’ chance to capture everyone together. We spent the morning at home and in the garden but later it was great to explore the nearby park, where the children were able to let off steam and we were able to capture to some wonderful, natural images. Sometime later I was thrilled to receive this …. “Thank you both so much for the wonderful job you did taking hundreds of photos in horrid weather with tricky children. The results were quite amazing and everyone is delighted.”
It was great to see the boys again – I photographed them six years ago and was thrilled when their mother rang to say, the boys are growing up fast and it’s time for some more photos! There is nothing I love more than documenting a child’s progress. This session, a birthday surprise for the boys’ father, took place just before Christmas. It was rather a damp dull winters’ day but with a hint of light in the sky – I soon discovered that if the boys had a rugby ball in their hands all would be well and we’d get some cracking shots! We had a great time following the boys around with our cameras and were thrilled with the results – here are a few of our favourite images, which I do hope you enjoy.
…. so, down to the thriving artistic community that is Deptford for a pre-wedding photography shoot and getting-to-know-you session with illustrators Nana and John on their home territory.
A glorious mix of old and new – Victorian terraces rubbing shoulders with glass clad modernity and cottages with palaces, all set along the banks of the Thames.
Completely spoilt for choice of backgrounds for this engagement shoot, from this Patricio Forrester ‘His and Hers’ mural to the brickwork of the railway viaducts that crisscross this part of South London…
and on to ‘Love over Gold’ (how appropriate is that?) hidden in a back street on the way to Deptford Creek (Dire Straits performed their first gig in the Crossfields Estate just opposite the mural).
A brief stop at Deptford Creek – one time heart of shipbuilding on the Thames – so on to Greenwich, the Cutty Sark and the splendours of the old Royal Naval College!
Even more gems as we make our way back to Deptford High Street – lively as ever on a Sunday afternoon!
I can hardly wait for Nana and John’s midsummer Wedding in the magical setting of old farm buildings in the heart of the Sussex countryside!
Jessie and Joe wanted a Wedding with a country feel and they did it in style. Wick Farm has the most beautiful
converted threshing barn in the middle of stunning countryside with views over the Westbury White Horse.
Wick Farm is the most perfect venue for a country wedding and it certainly looked it’s best on this gloriously sunny day.
Jessie looked a million dollars in her breathtaking Pronovias dress and her twin bridesmaids looked gorgeous in
Very many congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Taylor…..we were thrilled to be part of your special day.
I hope you enjoy your photos as much as we loved taking them!
We were so thrilled when Alison and Simon chose West Woods, near Marlborough for their Engagement Shoot. West Woods is well known for it’s carpet of bluebells and it was certainly looking it’s best this weekend! We had a great morning and enjoyed catching up with Alison and Simon’s exciting plans for their August wedding…..can’t wait!
Steph and James, on top of the world! They chose Foxhill on The Ridgeway for their Engagement Shoot as it is an area they both know and love – James having known it since a boy! We had a great time with Steph and James and were so pleased that they brought Lily and her son Alfie along too! Here are our favourites from the day!
